The 1950's saw The King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley emerge out of Memphis Tennessee, the USA sent troops into Korea to fight another war and the Harley Davidson Panhead rose to popularity giving birth to the American Chopper Scene. Ex police and war-time motorcycles could be bought cheap and were easily modified with hand made parts. By the late 1950's choppers and hotrods were a nation wide craze and the Panhead Engine was right at the heart of the movement.
