The first ever complete build to come out of our new shop is this 1972 Shovelhead long chopper belonging to our very own Jye (Disko) Dance.

This bike began it's journey with us at the beginning of 2019 as a swingarm FX shovel. Jye tore up the dragstrip at the Mudgee Meltdown before tearing it all to pieces after he brought it back home to Sydney. Shortly after he acquired a raked out Panhead Wishbone Frame which became the catalyst for turning this into a classic long chopper.

Paintwork was outsourced to our good mate Jarrad from Cursed Customs who added some sparkle to the tins, while Bad Arse Trim Co fabbed up a killer cobra seat and Mountains Motorcycle Wiring hid all of the wiring out of sight.

Otherwise all mechanical and fabrication work was completed in house by Steve's Custom Cycles and Jimbo from Spread Cheese Fabrication who both got to demonstrate their skills and specialty knowledge in older Harley Davidsons. The swingarm FX shovel wasn't a runner when Jye first bought it and Steve quickly turned it into a one kick machine. Jimbo fabbed up the tall sissy bar and pipes along with a suicide shift lever and knob.

Since completing the build this bike has been no show pony or trailer queen, it gets ridden at every opportunity. You'll be seeing it pop up in local shows and on local rides very soon.
